A cross-functional, integrative leader with 20 years long managerial experience in the marine services industry. Harun has joined Subsea Global Solutions in October 2016 following a 16 year long career with V.Ships, the largest ship management company in the world. During his tenure with V.Group, he has held a number of senior international positions, including managing the Group's Istanbul, Dubai, and Hamburg offices and heading up the Business Development function for its largest region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) between 2012 and 2016.

With strategic assignments in UK, Greece, Turkey, Germany, UAE, Qatar, Singapore and Monaco, Harun's areas of expertise in the commercial shipping industry expanded from commercial and technical ship management to crewing, technical services and eventually offshore marine operations with exposure to most vessel types that Subsea Global Solutions is servicing.

Originally a deck officer with a nautical degree from Istanbul Technical University Maritime Faculty, Harun holds a PgD in Marine Management from Southampton Solent University – UK, and an Executive MBA degree from Koc University – Istanbul. A member of the International Propeller Club, Harun is now residing in the city of Weston - Miami, with his wife Hilkat and their son Doruk and daughter Duru. An avid sport enthusiast, he enjoys running, open water swimming and (when he can train for) triathlon races.
