Translation:

Subsea Global Solutions performs maritime repair work worldwide, both above and below the waterline, utilizing class-approved welding procedures (welding process SMAW (111)).
This photograph was taken during the last quarter of 2012 in the company’s training tank located in Long Beach, California, USA, as part of an internal underwater wet welding training course.
The training tank is approximately seven meters in height and is equipped with three welding stations that allow three divers to conduct welding operations simultaneously. Each diver maintains communication with the control room and is assisted by tenders, who supply the necessary tools and welding electrodes.
During wet underwater welding, the welding current is energized only during the actual welding operation to ensure safety and control. The diver shown here is performing a fillet weld in the overhead (PD) position.

We’re honored to be recognized by the German Welding Society and to contribute to the ongoing dialogue about best practices, safety, and innovation in underwater welding.
