Recently, nine Subsea Global welder divers from Belgium, Singapore, and South Korea successfully completed an intensive underwater wet welding training program in Gangneung, South Korea, earning new or upgraded welding qualifications. 

Underwater wet welding is one of the most technically demanding disciplines in commercial diving. It requires extensive hands-on training, an understanding of welding procedures, and the ability to perform precision work in challenging underwater environments. Continuing to develop these specialized skills across our global team ensures that Subsea GlobalSolutions remains prepared to deliver efficient, and high-quality repair solutions wherever our clients operate. 

The training was led by Subsea Global Solutions Senior Weld Engineer Uwe Aschemeier and Duty Welding Supervisor Whitney McDonald, whose technical expertise and hands-on instruction provided participants with the opportunity to expand their capabilities and advance their certifications. 

Programs like these also rely on significant collaboration behind the scenes. The local team in Busan played a critical role in organizing and coordinating the training, ensuring participants had the resources and support needed throughout the program.
