This year, Subsea Global Solutions celebrates 80 years of delivering innovative underwater solutions to the maritime, cruise, offshore, and oil & gas industries. From our earliest roots in the 1940s to our present global footprint, our history is a story of pioneers, problem-solvers, and dedicated diver-technicians who helped shape the subsea industry.

Our Origins

Subsea Global Solutions traces its heritage back to 1945 with the founding of Parker Diving Service in Long Beach, California, one of the earliest commercial diving firms in the United States. Over the decades, Parker Diving built a reputation for pioneering underwater techniques, including deep air dives and salvage operations that set the standard for safety and capability in the industry.

The following decades saw the emergence of other leading companies in commercial diving, including Miami Diver, All-Sea Underwater Solutions, and others across North America, Asia, and Europe. Each company developed specialized expertise, from ship husbandry and underwater repair to large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.

Parker Diving Service

Founded in 1945 by Torrance R. Parker, Parker Diving Service represents the earliest roots of what would become Subsea Global Solutions. As one of the first commercial diving companies in the United States, Parker Diving helped define professional standards for underwater work at a time when the industry was still taking shape. Torrance Parker’s influence extended beyond operations—his leadership, innovation, and documentation of diving history left a lasting imprint on the profession.‍

Miami Diver

Along the U.S. Atlantic coast, Miami Diver emerged as a cornerstone of commercial diving, supporting ports, shipowners, and marine operators with reliable underwater services. Known for its technical capability and adaptability, Miami Diver played a critical role in the development of Atlantic-region diving operations and helped expand the industry’s reach in some of the busiest maritime corridors in the world.‍

All-Sea Underwater Solutions

Founded in Canada, All-Sea Underwater Solutions built a reputation for tackling complex underwater challenges across the maritime and oil & gas sectors. With operations spanning Vancouver, the Great Lakes, Atlantic Canada, and later Korea, All-Sea’s growth reflected a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to technical excellence. When All-Sea joined Subsea Global Solutions in 2017, it brought decades of experience, highly skilled teams, and specialized capabilities that continue to strengthen our global operations today.‍

In 2011, several of these legacy firms came together to form Subsea Global Solutions. The vision was clear: to combine decades of regional experience into a single organization that could provide turnkey underwater solutions anywhere in the world.

That integration brought together hundreds of diver-technicians, cutting-edge engineering support, and long-standing client relationships, creating a true global leader in commercial diving and underwater repair.

Our Growth Today

Today, Subsea Global Solutions operates from 13 offices across five continents, with more than 200 highly skilled diver-technicians supported by project managers, engineers, and technical specialists. We work in many of the world’s busiest seaports, delivering services ranging from routine inspections and biofouling management to complex repairs like thruster removals, stern seal replacements, and permanent wet welding.

Our commitment to safety, reliability, and innovation remains at the core of everything we do. We continually develop new technologies, refine methodologies, and expand our expertise to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
