We're proud to spotlight Uwe Aschemeier, our Head of Welding Services. With extensive experience as a commercial diver, Uwe is also an award-winning educator and a respected speaker in the underwater welding industry, known for his dedication to advancing industry standards and sharing his expertise worldwide.

His technical expertise and engaging presentation style make complex concepts accessible, whether he's teaching Subsea Global teams or presenting at industry conferences worldwide.  

Uwe’s impressive ability to share knowledge and advance industry standards has solidified his reputation as a leader in both innovation and mentorship. His depth of knowledge and innovative approach have made a significant impact on Subsea Global Solutions. With advanced qualifications in both mechanical and welding engineering, German-born Uwe has dedicated his career to pioneering techniques in underwater welding. His international experience spans from Europe to North America to Korea and beyond, where he’s led critical underwater projects and contributed to advancing welding standards worldwide.

At SGS, Uwe has been instrumental in leading complex underwater repair and maintenance operations, including challenging deep-sea projects and groundbreaking wet welding techniques. His commitment to safety and technical excellence is recognized not only within our organization but across the maritime industry. Uwe frequently shares his expertise as a speaker at global industry conferences and serves on multiple welding standards committees, where his insights shape best practices in underwater welding and environmental safety.
