Geert Van Overloop serves as Managing Director for Subsea Global Solutions’ Belgium operations, based in Antwerp. Geert brings over three decades of leadership experience across the international shipping, inland waterways, and maritime logistics sectors.

His career began in 1994 with A.P. Moller/Maersk, where he held key positions in global offices including Antwerp, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, and Rotterdam, ultimately progressing to Country Manager for Maersk Madagascar. Returning to Belgium, Geert led a 130-person team before becoming Managing Director at DGA Shipping, where he focused on inland waterway shipping operations and innovation.

Geert continued to drive innovation at Naval Barging, spearheading the development of semi-autonomous, hybrid-propulsion vessels and leading award-winning sustainability projects. Prior to joining Subsea Global Solutions, he served as Head of Commerce for Wrist Ship Supply in Rotterdam, where he led a 45-person sales team and championed customer-centric transformation initiatives.

Geert holds a Master of Science in Applied Economics and a degree in Commercial Engineering with honors from the University of Antwerp.
