As Commercial Director, the Americas, Clifton Kulhanek leads Subsea Global Solutions’ commercial strategy and customer partnerships across North, Central, and South America. Based in Houston, Texas, Clifton brings over two decades of leadership experience spanning the maritime, energy, and logistics sectors, as well as a distinguished military career.

Throughout his career, Clifton has built a reputation for driving growth, developing high-performing teams, and delivering customer-focused solutions in dynamic global markets. Prior to joining Subsea Global Solutions, he served as Managing Partner of Inquest, where he successfully launched the company and secured key contracts across the U.S. and Middle East, including a joint venture partnership with Saudi Aramco. Clifton also held senior commercial and operational leadership roles with Archer Survey & Inspection, OES Oilfield Services, and other organizations, where he led multimillion-dollar sales initiatives, expanded client relationships, and spearheaded regional growth. Most recently, he served as Regional Sales Manager for Allrig, where he specialized in rope access inspection, repair, and maintenance services for offshore drilling vessels, working extensively with nearly every major drilling contractor operating out of the U.S.

Clifton’s leadership is rooted in his military background. He served honorably in the United States Army as an Intelligence Analyst and Motor Transport Operator, later transitioning to a top-performing Recruiter. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix, along with extensive leadership and management training through the U.S. Army and Dale Carnegie Leadership Program.
