Behind the Scenes of Our Latest Subsea Video

In this interview, Karl Lander, Subsea Global’s Director of Environmental Services, shares insights into our growing portfolio of environmentally driven services, including proactive biofouling management and our innovative C‑ROV cleaning capabilities. Learn how we're helping vessel operators reduce fuel use, prevent invasive species transfer, and stay ahead of tightening global regulations.

Why it matters

Biofouling isn’t just a cosmetic issue, it can dramatically reduce vessel efficiency, weaken critical equipment, and disrupt offshore platforms. Our C‑ROV squad uses capture-enabled cleaning systems to safely remove macrofouling in compliance with strict regulations, protecting marine environments while ensuring peak performance.

What You’ll See:

  • Why clean hulls matter beyond regulatory compliance
  • How hull maintenance reduces fuel consumption and emissions
  • The advantages and trade-offs between diver-based and robotic cleaning solutions
  • Subsea Global Solutions’ dual offering: divers and cutting-edge robotics
  • Insights from SGS Environmental Services Director Karl Lander on the business case for clean hulls
  • Why ports, not just the IMO, are leading the charge on hull cleaning regulations and containment today

This video embodies our mission: delivering reliable, class-approved marine cleaning solutions that safeguard both assets and the ocean.
